  • 4 oz chicken breast

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • 12 asparagus spears

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley


  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Season the chicken breast with salt, pepper, and paprika on both sides.

  3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

  4. Add the seasoned chicken breast to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.

  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake the chicken for about 15-20 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

  6. While the chicken is baking, prepare the asparagus. Snap off the tough ends of the asparagus spears and discard them.

  7. In a separate skillet, heat the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  8. Add the asparagus spears to the skillet and sauté them for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender-crisp. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  9. Once the chicken is cooked through, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.

  10. Squeeze the juice of the lemon over the chicken and sprinkle the lemon zest on top.

  11. Serve the lemon chicken alongside the sautéed asparagus. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
