Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs

  • 3-4 ounces of smoked salmon

  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • Fresh dill, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Directions

  1. Boil the Eggs:

    • Place the eggs in a small saucepan and add enough water to cover them completely.

    • Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.

    • Once it reaches a rolling boil, reduce the heat to medium and let the eggs simmer for about 7-8 minutes for medium-boiled eggs or 9-10 minutes for hard-boiled eggs.

    • When the eggs are done, transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for a couple of minutes

  2. Prepare the Smoked Salmon

    :

    • While the eggs are cooling, grab a plate and arrange the smoked salmon on the side.

  3. Peel and Season the Eggs:

    • Gently tap the eggs on a hard surface to crack the shells, then peel them under running water to make it easier.

    • Slice the boiled eggs in half lengthwise and place them on the plate next to the smoked salmon.

  4. Final Touches:

    • Sprinkle some freshly ground black pepper over the eggs and salmon to add a hint of spice.

    • If you're a fan of dill, chop some fresh dill and sprinkle it over the eggs for an extra burst of flavor and color.
