½ lb lean ground turkey (99% fat-free)
½ lb lean ground pork (90% lean or higher)
2 tsp fresh sage, finely chopped
1 small onion, finely diced (organic recommended)
2 cloves garlic, minced (organic recommended)
1 tsp Dijon mustard (no sugar added)
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp sea salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Directions
Prepare the Mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, ground pork, fresh sage, onion, garlic, Dijon mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Form Patties: Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
Cook the Burgers:
Stovetop: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook burgers for 4-5 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Grill: Preheat grill to medium heat and cook for 4-5 minutes per side.
