Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

  • 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

  • 20 ounces of fresh spinach

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder

  • ¼ teaspoon paprika

  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano

  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add the garlic slices to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant and lightly golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

  3. Add the spinach to the skillet in batches, allowing it to wilt down before adding more. Use tongs or a spatula to toss the spinach and ensure even cooking.

  4. Continue cooking the spinach until it has wilted completely, usually for about 3-4 minutes.

  5. Reduce the heat to low and add the lemon juice, salt, black pepper, onion powder, paprika, dried oregano, and dried thyme to the skillet. Stir well to combine and evenly distribute the seasoning.

  6. Cook the spinach for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld together.

  7. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed, adding more salt or pepper if desired.

  8. Remove the skillet from heat and transfer the sautéed spinach to a serving dish.

  9. Serve the Sauteed Spinach with Garlic as a side dish or a bed for your main course.
