Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed green tea

  • 1 cup peppermint tea

  • 2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves

  • 1-2 teaspoons liquid stevia (adjust to taste)

  • 1 lemon, sliced

Directions

  1. Start by brewing the green tea and peppermint tea separately. You can use tea bags or loose tea leaves according to your preference. Brew each tea with 2 cups of hot water and let them steep for about 5-7 minutes.

  2. Once the teas are brewed, remove the tea bags or strain out the loose tea leaves. Allow the teas to cool down to room temperature.

  3. Take a glass or pitcher and add ice cubes to fill it about halfway.

  4. Add the fresh mint leaves to the glass or pitcher. Gently muddle the mint leaves with a spoon to release their flavor.

  5. Pour the brewed green tea and peppermint tea over the mint leaves and ice.

  6. Squeeze the lemon slices into the tea, being careful to catch any seeds. Drop the squeezed lemon slices into the glass or pitcher as well.

  7. Stir the tea gently to mix all the ingredients together.

  8. Taste the tea and add liquid stevia according to your preferred sweetness. Start with 1-2 teaspoons and adjust to your taste. Stir well to dissolve the stevia.

  9. Fill the glass or pitcher with more ice cubes to chill the tea further.

  10. You can serve the Mint Iced Tea immediately or refrigerate it for a few hours to let the flavors meld together.

  11. When serving, you can garnish with additional fresh mint leaves or lemon slices if desired.

  12. Enjoy your refreshing Mint Iced Tea!
