Ingredients

Chinese Chicken

  • 4 oz chicken breast

  • 5 tbsp organic, no salt chicken broth

  • Half a head of cabbage

  • Dash of onion powder

  • Chinese 5 spice, to taste

  • Sea salt and pepper, to taste

  • ½ packet of stevia

  • 1 minced clove of garlic

Directions

  1. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

  2. Season the chicken breast with Chinese 5 spice, sea salt, and pepper on both sides.

  3. Place the seasoned chicken breast in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.

  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  5. Add the chicken broth to the skillet and bring it to a simmer.

  6. Thinly slice the cabbage and add it to the skillet with the simmering broth.

  7. Sprinkle onion powder and Chinese 5 spice over the cabbage. Stir well to combine.

  8. Cover the skillet and let the cabbage cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until it becomes tender.

  9. Stir in the stevia and season with additional sea salt and pepper if desired.

  10. Slice the cooked chicken breast into thin strips and add it back to the skillet with the cabbage. Stir to combine all the ingredients.

  11. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

  12. Remove from heat and transfer the Chinese chicken to a serving plate.

  13. Garnish with some freshly chopped green onions, if desired.

  14. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Chinese Chicken!
