Ingredients

  • 2 large egg whites

  • 1 whole egg

  • 1/2 green pepper, sliced

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional: hot sauce or other seasoning of your choice

Directions

  1. Fill a small saucepan with water and place it over high heat. Bring the water to a boil.

  2. After boiling the water, carefully add the eggs to the saucepan using a spoon or tongs. Reduce the heat to medium and let the eggs simmer for about 10 minutes for hard-boiled eggs or 6 minutes for medium-boiled eggs.

  3. heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat while the eggs are boiling. Add the sliced green pepper to the skillet and sauté for 2-3 minutes until it becomes slightly tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Once the eggs are done boiling, remove them from the saucepan and transfer them to a bowl of cold water. Allow the eggs to cool for a few minutes.

  5. Once the eggs have cooled, carefully peel off the shells. Slice the hard-boiled eggs into desired sizes and set aside.

  6. Arrange the sliced eggs on a plate and add the sautéed green pepper on top. Sprinkle with additional salt and pepper if desired.

  7. If you like a little heat, drizzle some hot sauce or your preferred seasoning over the eggs and green pepper.

  8. Serve the boiled eggs with green pepper as a healthy and satisfying breakfast or snack option.
