Ingredients

  • 2 cans of tuna in water (each can providing approximately 30g protein)

  • 4 large lettuce leaves (such as romaine or iceberg)

  • 1/4 cup diced cucumber

  • 1/4 cup diced celery

  • 1/4 cup diced red onion

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (choose a low-fat or light version if desired)

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Drain the tuna cans and transfer the tuna to a medium-sized bowl.

  2. Add the diced cucumber, celery, and red onion to the bowl with the tuna.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.

  4. Pour the dressing mixture over the tuna and vegetables, and gently toss until well combined.

  5. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences.

  6. Take a lettuce leaf and spoon half of the tuna salad mixture onto the center of the leaf.

  7. Wrap the lettuce leaf around the filling, creating a tight wrap.

  8. Repeat with the remaining lettuce leaves and tuna salad to make the second wrap.

  9. Serve the tuna salad lettuce wraps immediately and enjoy!
