Ingredients

  • 3 medium tomatoes, diced

  • 1/2 large red onion, diced

  • 1-2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely diced

  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded and finely diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin

  • 1/4 tsp chili powder

  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

  • Juice of 1 lime

Directions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, red onion, jalapeno peppers, and green bell pepper.

  2. Add the minced garlic and fresh cilantro to the bowl and mix well.

  3. In a small bowl, combine the ground cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, and sea salt.

  4. Sprinkle the spice mixture over the tomato mixture in the medium-sized bowl and mix until all the ingredients are evenly coated.

  5. Squeeze the juice of 1 lime over the salsa mixture and stir well to combine.

  6. Taste the salsa and adjust the seasoning if needed. You can add more salt, lime juice, or spices according to your preference.

  7. Allow the salsa to sit for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
